'Beautiful Boy' Trailer: Timothée Chalamet Struggles With Addiction (VIDEO)

The first Beautiful Boy trailer has been released and not only is it trending on YouTube, but it's gaining some Oscar-worthy buzz already! Sure, it's only one trailer, but when you have Oscar nominees Steve Carell and Timothée Chalamet as the stars, it's going to happen. Check out the Beautiful Boy trailer below!

Beautiful Boy is based on the best-selling memoirs from David and Nic Sheff. This film is directed by Felix Van Groeningen and produced by Academy Award winners from 12 Years a Slave and Moonlight. This one has some big names attached, as Oscar nominee Amy Ryan and Golden Globe winner Maura Tierney also star! Could we see some more nominations and winners come from this movie?

Carell and Chalamet star as the father-son duo and chronicles “the heartbreaking and inspiring experience of survival, relapse, and recovery in a family coping with addiction over many years.” You can tell from the trailer that Carell is truly struggling with his son's addiction, as Chalamet is struggling with the addiction. Their relationship is going to see some ups and downs, but the movie is giving us a very powerful message.

In the trailer, we hear Carell say, “There are moments that I look at him, this kid that I raised, who I thought I knew inside and out, and I wonder who he is." This is something I am sure many families who have dealt with addiction have said.
