Chris Hemsworth Shows Off Abs In New 'Bad Times at the El Royale' Trailer

There is something intriguing about Bad Times at the El Royale, besides being able to see Chris Hemsworth shirtless! A new Bad Times at the El Royale trailer dropped yesterday and it showed us those abs of Hemsworth, but it also gave us a little more details into this movie.

The movie is from Drew Goddard, the filmmaker behind The Cabin in the Woods (which also starred Hemsworth). Goddard also happens to be the Oscar-nominated screenwriter behind The Martian

Apparently, there’s a lot more going on in Bad Times at the El Royale beyond Chris Hemsworth frolicking shirtless in golden fields of sunshine and flowers, and the new trailer is here to highlight those things. The official synopsis of Bad Times is here:

Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe's El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption... before everything goes to hell. Jeff Bridges, Chris Hemsworth, Jon Hamm, Dakota Johnson and Cynthia Erivo lead an all-star cast in BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE.

As the night unfolds, we get a true look at these characters and who they truly are. The priest (Jeff Bridges) admits he is not really a priest. We see the vacuum cleaner salesman (Jon Hamm) make a shady phone call. The concierge happens to be secretly spying on all the guests. And, of coure, Emily (Dakoya Johnson) seems to have a history with the leader (Hemsworth).

More importantly, we get to see his abs! But after celebrating that, Goddard told EW, “Rather than starting from an idea and a logline, this started from a basic premise: A bunch of characters check into a hotel on one night in 1969, and nobody is who they appear. I started with that very simple concept, wrote the roles, and then let the characters dictate the story.”
