For the first time in 10 years, Christina Aguilera is hitting the road! Xtina fans can rejoice, as Christina Aguilera announced the Liberation tour this morning. Christina will be hitting the road this fall, so find out The Liberation Tour dates and venues below!
Christina Aguilera is set to embark on the 22-date Liberation Tour this fall, as she kicks things off on Sept. 25 in Hollywood, Florida. This is just one month shy of her 10-year anniversary of her final Back to Basics Tour stop on Oct. 24, 2008! That is kind of crazy, right?
Aguilera's latest album, Liberation, is set to drop on June 15. However, this is not the first album since Back to Basics. She also released Bionic in 2010 and Lotus in 2012, but did not tour to support either of those albums.
She has been promoting the new album already, as she released the song "Accelerate" last week, which features 2 Chainz and Ty Dolla $ign. Aguilera is set to debut another one of the singles on May 20 at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, as she will sing the duet, "Fall In Line," with Demi Lovato. It may debut as the first live performance of the song, but many fans think the single will be released before then.
As far as touring goes, Christina opened up recently to Billboard about the whole experience, as she said, “Touring is so frightening to me, because I am a mom first. It’s part of why I stayed in the position I was [in as a judge on The Voice]. It’s easy to get comfortable and cushy in the same place and not have to worry about uprooting your kids. I’ve been putting myself on the back burner… [but now] it needs to happen. I’m looking forward to getting back out and actually showing my kids what Mommy really does!”
Tickets for The Liberation Tour are available to the general public beginning Friday, May 18 at 10:00 a.m. local time, though American Express card members have pre-sale access from Monday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. local time through Thursday, May 17th at 10:00 p.m. local time.
