'Missing Link' Trailer: Hugh Jackman And Zach Galifianakis Lend Voices To New Animated Comedy

We have an interesting new story coming from LAIKA, as the Missing Link story will be told. Zach Galifianakis and Hugh Jackman lend their voices for this tale of an inquisitive primate, which we see in the first trailer that was released today!

This is an unusual story, as it appears like we could be dealing with the Loch Ness Monster! Mr. Link, who is voiced by Galifianakis, stands in at 8 feet tall and 630 pounds! Not bad, huh? Check out the full synopsis for Missing Link here:

Meet Mr. Link: 8 feet tall, 630 lbs, and covered in fur, but don’t let his appearance fool you… he is funny, sweet, and adorably literal, making him the world’s most lovable legend. Tired of living a solitary life in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Link recruits fearless explorer Sir Lionel Frost to guide him on a journey to find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La. Along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight, our fearless trio of explorers encounter more than their fair share of peril as they travel to the far reaches of the world to help their new friend.

For Missing Link, Jackman will voice Sir Lionel Frost and adventurer Adelina Fortnight is voiced by Zoe Saldana. Mr. Link may be searching for his long-lost relatives, but it looks like the premise of the movie may be this: "you can find a family in places you least expect."

Missing Link is directed by Chris Butler (ParaNorman and The Tigger Movie). We also have a cast consisting of Timothy Olyphant, David Williams, and Emma Thompson. This will be the fifth major theatrical release for LAIKA. They are not one to be messed around with, as each of the first four featured releases have been nominated for an Oscar for best animated feature. Could Missing Link be following suit?
