'The Informer' Movie Trailer: Joel Kinnaman Becomes FBI Informant To Get Freedom Back

We have a thriller on our hands with The Informer trailer being released! Joel Kinnaman (The Killing, RoboCop and Suicide Squad) is an ex-convict that agrees to become an FBI informant on the inside, as he is going back to prison to infiltrate the mob. This is all for his freedom, but will the FBI follow through and will he make it out alive?

Here is a synopsis of The Informer from ScreenRant: "Kinnaman stars in The Informer as Pete Koslow, a former Special Ops soldier-turned convict who's given a chance for early release when he agrees to infiltrate New York's most powerful crime organization for the FBI. When a tragic turn of events prompts Pete's crooked boss (aka. The General) to order him to violate his parole and get himself sent back to prison so he can smuggle drugs through the facility, Pete's handlers at the FBI (Clive Owen and Rosamund Pike) make him a deal: if he agrees to the plan and brings them the evidence they need to expose the mob's dealings, the U.S. government will grant him the freedom he's been yearning for. Of course, an extremely dangerous and risky operation like that is (much) easier to execute in theory than in motion."

We also see Common, who plays an NYPD detective that threatens to derail the FBI's entire operation after he begins investigating the death of a fellow police officer. That cop happened to be killed during a mob meeting (Pete did try to save his life). There seems to be a lot of twists and turns in this trailer, so it looks like it could be an intense one! Check out The Informer trailer here:
