True Blood – “Don't You Feel Me” – Season 6 Ep 06

What have you gone and done Terry? --

This season has been a shaky one, with the episodes ranging from not bad, to very good, with this one, titled Don't You Feel Me, one of the latter. It had plenty ups and downs, twists and turns, all crammed into 60 damned fine minutes. We had beheadings, assassinations, exsanguinations, deliberate blood poisonings and of course (and more importantly for some) sex. We also had loads of drama too, making this a true, True Blood episodic adventure, or, as I prefer to say, one for the fans.

Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) was about to drown Sookie (Anna Paquin), in a bid to save her. The problem was, it wasn't actually Lafayette as his body had been taken over by Sookies father. Billeth Compton (Stephen Moyer) and Warlow can sense Sookie's distress, so Warlow takes off in a bid to save her. Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) attempts to join the Vampire cops, known to all as the LAVTF (Louisiana Vampire Task Force), in a bid to rescue a recently captured Jessica Hamby (Deborah Anne Woll), but this being one of his usual ill planned, hairbrained schemes, things don't go quite as expected. Did we expect anything less from Jason Stackhouse?

Billith tries to call Warlow back, after the Sookie rescue, but she doesn't want him to go, so she does her thing with her Faerie lit hands, making the pair vanish, out of Billeth's reach. This angers and confuses Bill, causing him to order the scientist working for him to drain him of all but the last traces of his blood, in a bid to contact Lilith. Sookie and Warlow are now in neverland together but night is about to fall (even though the sun shines constantly), which he fears will cause him to hurt her. She agrees to tie him to a tree, so that she may be safe, but our horny Faerie Princess is the one that should be tied to a tree.

Alcide finds out from dad where Sam (Sam Trammell) and co are hiding, so goes to try to catch them, but he's too late. Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) has a now healthy daughter wanting to be given a new name instead of the number she currently has. Terry Bellefleur (Todd Lowe), who last episode asked an old Marine buddy to kill him, visits a very concerned Lafayette, to ask him to take a key that fits a mysterious safety-deposit box. Arlene (Carrie Preston) asks a Vampire to glamour Terry, in order for him to stop feeling depressed, and to get him to forget he had anything to do with the Marines. (Well, how was she to know?).

After Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) team up to kill a guard instead of each other, Governor Burrell (Arliss Howard) gives Nora (Lucy Griffiths) something they call Hepatitis V, in revenge for Willa (Amelia Rose Blaire) being turned. While this is happening, Jason is made to watch Jess almost get raped by a very unwilling fellow Vampire. Eric devises a successful escape for he and his "family," and in the process, discovers the plan of the Governors to infect all Vampires with the newly created Hep V. Bill meets an angry Lilith who tells him not to contact her again, but when he is awakened from his self induced coma. he hears a news report that a fresh batch of True Blood, will be given out shortly to Vampires, so hopefully getting everything back to normal. Of course, Billeth sees this for what it is, and drinks Warlows blood, allowing him to walk in daylight. He makes a beeline for the Governor's mansion where he decides to recreate the ending to Reservoir Dogs, with a sensational display of glamouring, followed by my favourite scene of the season where the Governor finally loses his head.
