True Blood – “You're No Good” – Season 6 Ep 03

What's The Motherfu**ing Plan Boyfriend?! --

It was good to see the super-cool, super funny Lafayette (I think he was extremely funny in the beginning, but he just may get a chance to be funny once again) Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) back to his old self, even after a beating from the Werewolves, which saw Sam (Sam Trammell) get his dead girlfriend's shape shifting child snatched by a now bad Alcide (Joe Manganiello), the new Werewolf pack-master. I really don't like the new Alcide but this show seems to like mixing it up with everyone's personalities. It took me a long time to accept the Eric/Bill switch, but I'm disappointing it's happening again, with key characters.

Now that Bill thinks he's God Billith (for lack of a better term), he thinks he has the answer to the visions he witnessed in a dream. He reckons he is now immortal, and coated in Teflon, Silly Vampire, so can go out in the sun. That scene I found hilarious and was laughing for ages. I mean, you just knew it was gonna happen, and it most certainly did, as Billeth fried his ass.

It was also funny seeing Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) using numbers, instead of naming his rapidly growing Faerie children. Didn't Charlie Chan do something like that? Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) has kidnapped the Governor's daughter, but Pam and Tara (Rutina Wesley) are very much against it, and continually ask Eric to allow them to kill her. Eric warns Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) not to touch her but Pam and Tara seem determined. It appears the Governor has ulterior motives for hating Vampires, but it looks like his daughter takes after her mother.

Jessica (Deborah Anne Woll) has to use her considerable charm on a drooling lecturer, as Bill needs information. Jessica sure scrubs up well. Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) is helping his Faerie Godfather (Rutger Hauer) protect Sookie (Anna Paquin) but he's not very good at it (as expected) as witnessed when Bill comes a calling, and easily pins him to a wall. Jason is getting more headaches, but what do they mean? Obviously something to do with Warlow. Who is Ben Flynn really, by the way, I wonder?

Sam gets some payback as he attempts a daring snatch of his own. Andy is given new weapons in which to enforce the new anti-vampire laws, like the curfew, which sees Bill Compton and Sheriff Andy have a very interesting conversation. It looks as though Bill has designs on some young Faerie blood.

This was a good episode with just the right amount of everything, like wolf changes, shifts, fanged teeth etc. but also the story itself was solid, and I enjoyed it from start to finish.
